Our Trains
Inca Rail runs a fleet of nine trains: five in Tourist Class with a capacity of 48 passengers each; two in Executive Class with a capacity of 42 passengers each; one in First Class with a capacity for 30 passengers; and one Presidential carriage, with a capacity of 8 passengers.
Unlike those trains that are propelled by locomotive engine, each of our carriages possesses its own engine, which works in synchronisation when a convoy is formed. This allows us to create convoys to suit demand, with the added advantage that all service classes can be offered in all of our itineraries.
Each of our carriages has been equipped with passenger safety and comfort as a foremost concern. The interiors have been entirely fitted out by local technicians and carpenters, who have worked painstakingly to ensure the total comfort of passengers throughout their trip. Accommodating seats, collapsible tables, panoramic windows, and stunning views of the Peruvian Andes are just some of the features common to all of Inca Rail's trains.
For the external design, carefully selected natural tones ensure that our trains harmonise with the Andean scenery.
Finally, in homage to our ancestors, each of our trains is named after Inca emperors and princesses.
